2015 Monthly Ink Challenge
January: Theme Farmer Higgity and his Cat
Farmer Higgity and his cat and Princess Peridot (who crept in from the 52
Illustrations Challenge Fairy tale theme) Biro sketches
When Princess Peridot was born it was foretold that she would find her
heart's true love in an unlikely form.
PP had been brought up with all the classic fairy tales and knew what she
had to do. She had to kiss all the animals in the kingdom in order to
discover her prince.
She knew that statistically her prince was most likely to be a frog, a
swan or a wild boar. Some of the animals she kissed were squirmy, some
were ferocious and some just looked bemused.
Some of them had their recipe books open to Princess and Pea Pie and so
she did not attempt to kiss them and she just could not bring herself to
kiss the frogs and toads.
So she sent out a decree that the animals who thought they might be a
prince should come to the palace for a Kissing of the Animals event.
Farmer Higgity took his cat to be kissed and when PP saw his bland sketchy
face she instantly fell in love with him!
