JUNE The March challenge theme: Serendipity. My responses The Tweet family investigate the topic as part of their homeschool studies
They began by going into Google to find out about the topic.
Next they searched Wikipedia for references to serendipity.
Looking up Wikipedia certainly opened a can of worms for the Tweet family They discovered a film, a restaurant (which was a setting for the film) a computer program, a SETI Search for Extra-terrestrial Radio Emissions from Nearby Developed Intelligent Populations program, a Persian story about the Three Princes of Serendip who used observation and logic to locate a lost camel, an Australian dinosaur and the Australia Post stamp and colouring sheet depicting it, the Serendip wildlife sanctuary, quotes about serendipity and even a Serendipity ice cream!
